Julie started raising goats with a partner in 2000 and we did vegetation management. Now as sole owner, Julie only does breeding of fine kiko goats.

We used herding dogs to manage the herd when they needed to be moved from one area to another. I did the herding dog training.

We had guardians from the beginning, but in 2004 we began breeding our own dogs. Anatolian , Akbash and Kangal were used for guardians. We never lost goats to predation when the dogs were in the fields.
